Elias has been the General Director of  APL-NOL Vietnam since 2011, responsible for the overall management of APL liner operations in Vietnam. APL is the container shipping arm of Singapore’s NOL Group. 
 
Since joining NOL as a Management Trainee in 2000, Elias (a Singaporean) has held positions covering various functions of the NOL Group - liner, logistics and terminals – globally.  
 
Prior to his Vietnam posting, Elias was the Managing Director of APL Sri Lanka. During his three year stint, he had also served as Chairman of the Sri Lanka Association of Vessel Operators (SLAVO). While in Singapore, Elias was involved in developing the Group’s container terminal capabilities globally, including an investment in Rotterdam’s Maasvlakte 2 Terminal. Elias had also worked in APL offices in India and the US.  
 
Elias holds a post graduate degree (MSc.) from the National University of Singapore (NUS). He presently sits on the Board of Vietnam International Container Terminal (VICT).
