Interactive and hands on learning opportunity at the 2013 Vietnam Supply Chain Congress

Businesses are faced with a time of tremendous amounts of valatility, uncertainty, and complexity. Forcast error is on the rise, product complexity is continuingly increasing as our customers become more demanding, supply chain complexity is increasing, and we are continually confronted with 'risks' in our supply chain.
Regulatory requirements are on the increase, labour disputes are more common, natural disasters are seemingly more frequent, and companies must be able to manage this. It is not a case of if it will happen, but when.
In 2012 the Vietnam Supply Chain Congress for the first time brought The Fresh Connection supply chain simulation to Vietnam. In 2013, The Fresh Connection will again return, but with the added dimension of Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM).
Participating in teams of four, the challenge is to manage a fictitious juice company that is losing money, turn the business around, and make it as profitable as possible.
There are four roles in each team: Sales, Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Operations. Each role has important decisions to make, and each role can have a great impact on company profitability. The condition of success: teamwork, strategy, and collaboration.
New in 2013, The Fresh Connection includes SCRM. Prticipants in The Fresh Connection are required to mange demand risks, supply risks, and process risk, with a series of possible mitigating actions. Risk planning, alternative sourcing strategies, risk maps, and contingency planning will all be keys to success.
If your business isn't already doing SCRM, or simply wants to get better at it, then attending the Vietnam Supply Chain Congress and participating in The Fresh Connection can really help your company.

NB. Due to the popularity of this program, delegates will be requested to pre-register for The Fresh Connection workshops, as well as bring their laptop to the session.
