We are looking for a LOCAL dynamic, proactive, committed local Vietnamese to join our team in Ho Chi Minh City for the position of Assistant Manager, Production (Footwear Sourcing - PVT) (Only qualified candidates will be contacted).

Job Description

- Purpose/Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for designated area/duties in production operations of assigned factories.

- Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

* Quality

-Ensures assigned production meets adidas quality standards and best practices.
-Implements all process controls and procedures in order to integrate quality system and mind set into daily operations.
-Ensures manufacturers are fully aware of quality needs and communicates accordingly with internal and external partners.
-Works with factories to improve quality and manufacturing efficiencies.

* Delivery

-Ensures adidas delivery objectives for assigned area of responsibility are met.
-Works closely with and supports development, commercialization and technical departments to ensure on time production start of new models.
-Works with planning customer service ensuring accurate and timely communication of order status and production issues.

* Costing

-Ensure value/cost optimization by providing cost efficient manufacturing ideas and expertise throughout the development / production process.
-Implements waste elimination ideas with regards to product and process in the spirit of continuous improvement.

* Personnel

-Manages all direct reports. Assists his manager in establishing career paths for key individuals.
-Ensures all direct reports are fully trained in adidas procedures (includes inspector training program).
-Supports co-located organizational set up and fosters an environment of collaboration and customer service.

*SOE

-Supports his manager in ensuring that factories comply with adidas SEA (Social and Environmental Affairs) principles.
-Reports back any violations in terms of factory compliance with local labor laws and health and safety regulations. Follows up on improvement plans.

* Factory Relations

-Supports suppliers in understanding of adidas business needs and objectives, maintains a positive factory relationship via day to day communication and positive participation.

Job Requirements

Requisite Education/Experience:

- Diploma or degree from educational entity focusing on shoemaking or engineering.
- At least 3 years experience in Footwear production.
- Experience in Footwear development.
