Nghe An builds 32 industrial parks for SMEs

The Nghe An Department of Industry and Trade said that 32 industrial parks for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the province had undergone steps such as having their detailed plans approved, investing in infrastructure construction and attracting investment projects.

 

Of those, nine industrial parks (IPs) have been filled up with investment projects, five IPs have built infrastructure and attracted businesses to invest in production and trade, eight IPs are under construction, and 10 IPs have had their detailed plans approved. According to their plans, these IPs have total area of 476ha, of which 314ha is used for industrial production purposes. Investment in the construction of infrastructure for these IPs totals more than VND932.61 billion.

 

The IPs so far have attracted 160 investment projects, including three foreign investment projects, concentrating on fields such as mineral processing, forest products, textiles and garments, mechanical processing and packaging production. Statistics show that apart from four textile and garment projects with total investment of over VND200 billion, other projects are small in terms of capital, ranging from VND15-20 billion per project.
