Vietnam plans to export 100,000 workers in 2016 according to the Vietnam Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs as the ministry continues to expand the labor market, especially to high-income and safe markets, according to The Voice of Vietnam.

The Ministry will also adjust mechanisms to boost labor exports, improve the capacity of labor exporting companies, reform recruitment mechanisms, and strengthen training for workers before sending them abroad.

“The Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs have worked with relevant agencies to implement multiple measures to expand the labor market,” Tong Hai Nam, Deputy Director of the Overseas Labor Management Department of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, said. “We have also worked with other countries to expand the sectors that can recruit Vietnamese workers. We aim to expand our markets in Taiwan, Japan, Malaysia, and some Middle-Eastern countries”.

In 2015 Vietnam exported 115,000 workers, up 112% against the yearly target.
