Vietnam steel consumption falls in june

Vietnam’s steel consumption was estimated to reach 350,000 tons in June 2013, down 36,000 tons or 9.33% from May, the local news provider NDHMoney.vn reported.

 

However, the June’s figure is still up 52,301 tons or up 17.57% on year, NDHMoney added.

 

In Jan-June period of this year, Vietnam was estimated to have consumed total of 2,256 million tons, increasing 18,000 tons or increasing 0.8% from the same period last year. In which, construction steel was estimated at 2,254 million tons, down 32,000 tons or down 1.4% on year.

 

The average price for construction steel was VND15,000-15,800/kg in the week of June 24-28, 2013
