COLLABORATION IN SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT:
A RESILIENCE PERSPECTIVE
The webinar topic investigates how collaboration between stakeholders and the establishment of alliances can help make the supply chain more resilient. It looks at innovative ways to operate supply chains, through crowd shipping, gainsharing, logistics alliances and the share economy and how these can reinforce the resiliency of the supply chain. It examines how data sharing can play an important role in supporting closer collaboration between stakeholders and how public-private partnerships, such as logistics or gateway councils can help focus the actions of all stakeholders on making supply chains resilient and hastening the pace of recovery in the event of a disruption. More precisely, this webinar will examine how supply chain collaboration and logistical alliances can help reinforce the resiliency of supply chains. At the heart of this collaboration is the sharing of information and data. It will also look at how multi-stakeholder initiatives and public-private partnership can help foster collaboration in supply chains and how this can translate into more efficient supply chains. The presentation will conclude with some examples of best practices of collaboration and alliances in supply chains and explain how those have helped reinforce both the resiliency and the efficiency of the supply chain, as well as any negative consequences that could have come from them.
